John Smith the owner of Smith Home Improvements is an educated, long term business here in South Plainfield, and his knowledge of the local ordinances and working with the town is one of his many expertise. His company and crew remodeled our carriage house and our 3 br Home. His detail to workmanship and his diligence to the project kept it on track is a key aspect of hiring a contractor. Honesty and Reliability is what you look for in a contractor and Smith Home Improvements are those plus many others! He is responsive, diligent, and accommodating, as we had a few change orders which he immediately reviewed and accepted with constructive feedback. His experience of 30+ years is well shown by his demeanor and experience. HIGHLY Recommended!

John Smith and his crew did great work on my bathroom upgrade. From start to finish it went smoothly . John was responsive, professional and easy to work with. You never know what you’re going to get with construction crews and this was by far my best experience yet. I am definitely going to use them again in the future and would highly recommend!

Smith home improvement remodeled my main bathroom. They expanded it and put in a walk-in shower, double sink and new toilet. The tiling in this shower is beautiful! Great craftsmanship. When the job was completed the bathroom sparkled. I am now getting an estimate for a kitchen remodel. John and his crew are top notch. John takes the time to hear all your needs then gives his best recommendation. I highly recommend them.

John Smith is a very stand up guy, hard working, answers all phone calls, and most importantly, does great work. I want to start saying thanks to John for being helpful to me and husband, the price was affordable, professional, and overall made us (clients happy). Unfortunately sometimes as a business owner employees that work for us make us look bad and by this the owner pays the price for it (honestly if it was not for John I wouldn’t give 0 stars bc the employees do whatever they want; they leave before 3:30pm and leave the job without giving it any importance, they ruined my air conditioning everything, I could go on but I’ll make it short) I give John 5 starts ~ Alex Cox and Ryan Cox.

I trust Smith Home Improvement with anything that needs to be fixed around my house. They always do quality work, get the job done right, which gives me so much peace of mind knowing my home is taken care of the right way. That means a lot when it comes to my family. Especially when it isn’t your strong suit. It’s definitely hard to find people you can really rely on to be thorough nowadays, but John and his guys are truly great!
